Every third Saturday of the month from noon to two. Tabitha’s Closet is an outreach program that provides new and gently used clothing, along with coats, blankets, and personal hygiene products to underprivileged people in our community. We host an event at our facility every third Saturday of the month where people can come in and get the supplies and support, they so desperately need. We maintain a “boutique storefront” in our facility that is constantly stocked with supplies. We are also ready and standing by for any crisis situations in our community that may require support for families that find themselves on the other end of disasters such as: fires, natural disasters, accidents, or illness.
Empty Bowls is a grassroots community program to raise funds and awareness about hunger in our community and around the world. Empty Bowls helps raise funds for the Food Backpack for Kids program that gives food to students in need to take home to their families. Once a year Empty Bowls puts on a community soup feed fundraiser to help end hunger on the Long Beach Peninsula. This year the event will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM.
